I am a Fine Artist specializing in florals.
Robin Lucile
Anderson's love of art began at the age of six, when her
mother handed her a piece of paper and pencil, expecting childish
scribbles in return. An hour later, Robin handed back a detailed sketch of a
little girl waiting for a train, much to her mother's amazement.
Robin's formal training began at Moorpark Jr. College, in California, where
she studied watercolor and acrylic painting. Her studies continued at Art
Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, where she received
advanced placement. She began her art career by painting commissioned
portraits in watercolor, but soon moved on to architectural illustration,
which provided more stability.
Robin has always loved the rich colors of oil painting, which led her to
study with Jim Smyth at the Palo Alto Cultural Center in Palo Alto,
California. Oil proved to be the perfect medium for combining her artistic
talents with her great love of flowers. Her floral still life paintings sell well at
Lu Martin Galleries in Laguna Beach and have been featured in American
Artist magazine. She is also represented by Applejack Publishing and
Licensing Agency.
Robin currently resides in Southern California, where she enjoys gardening
and working both as a fine artist and architectural illustrator.
